As La Cipriana is strategically placed for all the major places of interest in Tuscany, we offer not only the sea, relaxation and entertainment, but also a perfect base from which to visit the Art centres of Florence, Pisa, Siena and Volterra, to follow the Via degli Etruschi, the uncontaminated greenery of the Parks, and all of this culture in tandem with an opportunity to 'live' the flavours and tastes of the regional cuisine, including its Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the DOC wines. The area enjoys an excellent, mild climate, typical of the seaside.

The beautiful countryside and the cordiality of the hospitality at the farmhouse La Cipriana make your stay there a fantastic occasion for spending a lovely holiday immersed in nature, a step away from the sea with the gently slopes of the hills behind.

On one side there is the famous row of Bolgheri cypress trees, the aromatic vineyards and the mediaeval towns of Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri, Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Massa Marittima and Sassetta, and on the other side, there is the coastline of fine sandy beaches, the Etruscan remains in the archaeological site of Populonia and the unique necropolis on the sea in the Gulf of Baratti.

The area faces the Tuscan Archipelago which is made up of the islands of Gorgona, Capraia, Pianosa, Giglio, Giannutri, Montecristo and the best known of these, Elba. You can reach any of these islands from the Port of Piombino, just some 30kms. away.

For those who love good food and wine, you can go inland by car and take food and wine tours whereby you can have tastings of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the DOC wines and other gastronomic specialities of the Maremma area.
